The Recovery Process

Lost Money Investigators use a professional and efficient recovery method to ensure that our clients receive their money in the quickest possible time.

1. Once we receive your Authority to Act on your behalf, we send you a letter detailing what documents we need from you to enable us to submit your claim.
The documents include certified copies to prove your identity and your connection to the money being recovered.

2. When we receive your documents, Lost Money Investigators will verify them
and submit claims to the relevant Government departments on your behalf.
The amount of time it takes to process your claim will vary depending on
where your funds are being held. A typical claim for funds being held in
Australian Government accounts may take 4-6 weeks to process after we
receive all your documentation.

3. Once processed, Lost Money Investigators will send you a cheque less our
fees. Please note: we never ask for your bank account details.

4. Lost Money Investigators will keep you informed. As your claim proceeds,
we will keep you updated by either SMS, email or phone, every step of the way.
